We are honored to be a part of Brett and Laura’s wedding. This amazing young couple have been through more than most of us will experience in a lifetime but their love and positive spirit just shine so brightly.
Take a minute to read their story. It is times like this when I realize what blessings I have in my life and how much I cherish my loved ones. We wish Brett and Laura many days of love and happiness. Thank you Brett and Laura for letting us be a part of your big day.

Brett’s siter shared their story with us:
“Brett was originally diagnosed with Testicular cancer in June of 2009. Supposedly it is not a bad cancer to get, but unfortunately it had already spread to his abdomen, liver, lungs and neck by the time it was diagnosed. He has gone through multiple surgeries, many many rounds of chemo and radiation, 2 bone marrow transplants – but it is such an aggressive cancer that they cannot stop it from spreading and it is now huge in his lungs and brain. He was told in June 2010 he would have just a year left and now because of the size of his brain tumors and rate of growth, they estimate he has just 2 months left.
This is really a phenomenal couple! Brett is extremely active and at the time of his diagnosis had just 6% body fat and was an avid biker, runner and all around athlete. He is very active in charity work, served a humanitarian mission in Brazil serving the poor and runs (ironically) a summer camp for kids whose parents have cancer (completely unrelated to his illness – he did this prior to his diagnosis!) Brett is studying to be a doctor and Laura is studying to be a nurse. They met in college. Laura has been a tremendous support and has participated in fundraisers, sat by his bedside day and night as he has been in and out of the hospital. Bravely, she wants more than anything to marry this man who she knows will not be able to be there for her in just a short time, and in fact, will cause her much heartache and grief. We just adore Laura and can’t wait to welcome her into our family.”
Here is to this happy, brilliant, wonderful couple!!
